Sending a Mail/Care Package

When an inmate is brought into the Challenge Incarceration Program, they will only be able to actively communicate with you using letters. Letters are a way to always stay in touch and are much cheaper than using the telephone.

Letters can be sent daily, if you want. However, always plan for the letters to take an extra couple of days longer as the facility will thoroughly check them before being sent out on the mail cart to the inmates.

You should always have a return address on every letter you send, even if you send it in the same batch of letters.

Sending Money

Most family and friends will send money to an inmate using the popular wire transfer services like MoneyGram or Western Union.

Yes, they must pay a service fee, but the inmate’s get the funds within a business day, so they can use it either for their phone account or for the commissary.

Phone calls

Phone calls from the Challenge Incarceration Program are only allowed to be 15-minutes in length. These calls will happen during the daytime hours as well. You will need to be approved for the inmate phone list as well.
