Sending Money
If you are asked to drop off or send money to an inmate in the Polk County Jail, you will need to know the proper protocol.
When it comes to the proper protocol, you should note that the Polk County Jail will accept money orders. These money orders can be accepted in the lobby of the facility.
Please ensure before dropping off the money order that the money order is filled out correctly and has the inmate’s name on it as well. This will ensure that the inmate gets these funds put directly in their account, so they can buy items from the commissary.
Phone calls
Inmates in the Polk County Jail are only allowed to make calls, if they are collecting calls.
What does this mean for you?
This means, if you do not have a home phone or also known as a landline phone, you will not be allowed to receive these calls. This also means that you as the receiver will be responsible for all fees that get charged while on the phone with the inmate.
