Sending a Mail/Care Package

The highlight of most inmate's days in the Madison County Jail is mail time. Mail time is the time of the day where the correctional officers will pass out all handwritten letters and packages.

Please keep in mind, you will need written prior approval to send a package to the facility. You will not be allowed to send a package without approval.

However, the letters can be the highlight to those inmate’s days. The letters should be uplifting. They can contain photos of family, scenery, and the like as well.

Sending Money

Many friends and family members believe that inmates do not need any money when they are in the Madison County Jail and that is further from the truth.

When an inmate wants to write home, he or she will need to have the proper tools, so that they can. Without having stamps, pencils, and paper, he or she cannot do so.

Therefore, it is vital that you send or drop off money orders for them to the facility.

Phone calls

Just like mail time, the inmates love to be able to make phone calls home to their friends and/or family. This is a 15-minute call where an inmate can talk to those people on the outside and get to see what life is like in their absence.

When receiving a phone call from an inmate, you will not be allowed to use call forwarding, three-way calling, or any call features.
